The 2012 ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK International Trade Show and World Congress, scheduled for May 15-18, in Leipzig, Germany, has issued a call for papers.
Topics suitable for presentation at the World Congress include the following: prosthetics; orthotics; foot and shoe; rehabilitation; rehabilitation technologies (seating and wheelchairs); and open topics (developing countries, appropriate technologies, materials research, and measurement techniques).
Submitted abstracts will be made anonymous and will be assessed by at least two reviewers. The program committee will accept papers on the basis of this review and allocate them to either a free paper or a poster session. Free papers at the World Congress will be presented in podium/oral or poster format. Posters will be displayed in the poster exhibition in front of the lecture halls. Submitting authors are asked to specify their preferred format for the presentation at the time of submission. All abstracts will be published on the World Congress website.
World Congress languages are German and English. Abstracts can either be submitted in either language, and the Congress office will offer simultaneous translations into German and English.
Abstracts must be submitted electronically at www.confairmed.de/abstractsubmission by September 30, 2011. Authors will be notified of the outcome of the review process by the end of November.
