Jim Moore, CPed, has been elected president of the Pedorthic Foundation.
Moore, who has more than 35 years of industry experience, is founder and CEO of specialty-footwear retailer The PSNE Group, Taftville, Connecticut, and has been a member of the Foundation’s board of directors since 2008.
He has served as secretary-treasurer and as a member of its long-term strategic planning committee. Previously, he served as a board member of the Pedorthic Footcare Association (PFA) and the Board for Certification in Pedorthics, the latter which merged in 2007 with the American Board for Certification in Orthotics & Prosthetics to become the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC).
In addition to the PFA, Moore is a member of the National Shoe Retailers Association and the United Shoe Retailers Association. He also supports the Two Ten Footwear Foundation.
“It’s an honor to be elected president by my fellow board members, and I look forward to working with them in building awareness of the many things pedorthics can do to alleviate mobility problems,” Moore said.
