CGS Administrators (CGS), the Jurisdiction C durable medical equipment (DME) contractor for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), has issued an invitation to all interested parties to submit an application for inclusion in the Jurisdiction C Provider Outreach and Education (POE) O&P Advisory Group. The advisory group is a collaborative effort between the CGS POE team and O&P suppliers, with a primary function to assist in the creation, implementation, and review of provider education strategies and efforts, according to the CGS website.
The advisory group will be asked to provide input and feedback on training topics, provider education materials, and dates and locations of provider education workshops and events. The group also will help to identify relevant provider education issues, and recommend effective means of information distribution to all appropriate providers and their staff. Advisory group meetings will be held via teleconference to provide members an opportunity to give feedback directly to the POE team regarding O&P topics within Medicare.
POE Advisory Group membership is open to representatives from state supplier associations, billing services, and all other appropriate supplier organizations and third party entities. CGS says it encourages representation from across Jurisdiction C, from both large and small businesses and organizations.
