OPAF has awarded the 2012 Dale Yasukawa Scholarship to Jeff Henderson, CO.
Henderson is currently enrolled in the prosthetics program at Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center (NUPOC), Chicago, Illinois. He will be serving his prosthetic residency with Virginia Prosthetics, Charlottesville. Henderson has a bachelor of science degree in elementary education and spent years with a family partnership in general contracting.
The $1,000 scholarship, which is maintained and awarded by OPAF and The First Clinics, is awarded with the intent that the winner will use the funds to defray O&P meeting registration fees or to help offset education expenses.
“We are very pleased with the selection of Jeff Henderson as the 2012 Dale Yasukawa Scholarship winner and believe that he will reflect the fine work that has come to be recognized as our scholarship winners,” said Robin Burton, OPAF executive director.
