CBS has announced that Amy Purdy, who has bilateral transtibial amputations, has been selected to compete in season 21 of The Amazing Race, which premieres Sunday, September 30, at 8 p.m. ET.
Purdy is a top-ranking adaptive snowboarder, motivational speaker, and co-founder of Adaptive Action Sports (AAS). She and Daniel Gate, AAS co-founder and executive director, will compete against ten other teams to try and win the $2,000,000 grand prize.
