The National Commission on Orthotic & Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) is now accepting applications for the Larry Lange Travel Fellowship Award, which was established four years ago in honor and memory of Larry Lange, CPO, FAAOP. The application deadline is June 1, 2013.
The award recognizes the outstanding practice/education of a current or recent graduate of an NCOPE O&P residency program and provides an opportunity for the recipient to further enrich his or her education and professional development in a particular aspect of orthotic and/or prosthetic care. The $2,000 award is to be used for travel and meeting registration fees for professional O&P conferences.
Lange dedicated more than 27 years to the O&P profession and to the patients he served. He volunteered with national O&P organizations, including 22 years of service to the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC) as an examiner for the clinical patient management exams.
