The National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) is accepting applications for the 2015 Larry Lange Travel Fellowship Award. Current or recent graduates of an NCOPE-accredited orthotic and/or prosthetic residency program are eligible. The $2,000 award pays for travel and meeting registration fees for attendance at O&P conferences, and provides individuals at the start of their career an opportunity to further enrich their education and development as a professional in a particular aspect of orthotic and/or prosthetic care. The application deadline is June 1.
The fellowship award was established in 2007 to honor the memory of Larry Lange, CPO, FAAOP. Lange dedicated more than 27 years to the O&P profession and to the patients he served. He volunteered with national O&P organizations, including as an examiner for the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABC) clinical patient management exams for 22 years.
