The National Association for the Advancement of Orthotics & Prosthetics (NAAOP) has released a new video webcast. In the association’s November webcast, NAAOP General Counsel Peter Thomas, JD, provided an update on healthcare and O&P related issues and legislation following the 2012 elections. He specifically addressed changes in Congress that have resulted in the loss of several champions of O&P care for veterans and the public, and what has been and will be done to find new supporters. Thomas also said that NAAOP is expectins a flurry of Affordable Care Act-related regulations to occur and be released soon by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, including the regulation on the essential health benefits package.
The webcast is posted on the NAAOP website, shared with members via e-mail, and made available through the NAAOP page on Facebook.
