Coyote Design, Boise, Idaho, announced that it has purchased an interest in Boise Prosthetic Orthotic, an O&P patient care facility that was the former Boise location of Rehab Systems. Coyote said it had partnered with patient care facilities for product testing and studies in the past, but chose to develop a closer partnership to focus more attention on treatment outcomes. The closer partnership will allow Coyote to observe the practical practitioner tasks, but also the documentation, billing, and patient outcomes.
“This wasn’t our original plan, but we think the partnership will be valuable for both companies,” said Matt Perkins, Coyote’s director of marketing. “Strategically, Coyote Design is not looking to expand the patient care beyond the Boise area. Coyote Design will continue to focus on product development and making sure current and future products are scalable for small and large patient care operations and are suited for in-house and central fabrication.”
