Mike Kloos has been named president of VGM Insurance, Waterloo, Iowa, replacing Tom Jones, who will retire from that position May 31.
Kloos, who begins his new position June 1, joins VGM from TCF Equipment Finance, headquartered in Minnetonka, Minnesota, where he is senior vice president of strategic business development. He started with VGM Leasing (later VGM Financial Services), Waterloo, in 1994. When TCF purchased that company in 2004, he held positions including senior vice president of sales and general manager of the TCF Waterloo operations.
