The Amputee Prosthetic Clinic, with offices in Tifton, Macon, and Albany, Georgia, hosted OPAF’s First Dive Intro to Scuba Clinic on May 5 at Diver’s Supply, Macon. The clinic was led by First Dive’s director Stacey Minton and assisted by Justin Cohen of Diver’s Supply and his staff. Twelve participants ranging in age from nine to 65, and their families, traveled from across the southeast to attend, spending more than three hours in the pool.
“OPAF’s First Clinic has opened our family’s eyes to multiple activities that we would not have thought about, nor had the opportunity to learn about. What a blast,” said Monel Sway, mother of 12-year-old participant Nicholas Francek of Elljay, Georgia.
