The Amputee Coalition is now accepting applications for the Christina Skoski, MD, Scholarship for the 2014-2015 school year. This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a full-time undergraduate student who has a congenital limb difference or an amputation and who is, or whose parent or legal guardian is, a registered “friend” of the Amputee Coalition.
The online application must be accompanied by the individual’s record number that is received as a result of registering as friend of the Amputee Coalition. The application must also be accompanied by a complete official high school or college transcript, documentation of ACT and/or SAT scores, a letter of recommendation from a high school adviser, and a personal statement from the applicant. These supporting documents must be mailed to the Amputee Coalition. The envelope must be postmarked on or before the scholarship application deadline, Monday, April 7, 2014.
The chosen scholarship recipient will be notified no later than Monday, June 9, 2014. The award is made in one lump payment to the student’s higher education institution upon verification of the student’s full-time enrollment status.
