Reggie Showers, a former motorcycle drag racer who has bilateral transtibial amputations, is one of 20 people who have been cast in a new National Geographic series called “Mygrations.” The show follows a team of 20 men and women as they set out on foot, unarmed and without a map or compass, to follow the migration of the wildebeests to reach the Mara River. This six-episode survival series follows the group on its journey crossing hundreds of miles of savannah and to see who will be the last ones to arrive at their destination.
The series, produced by Emmy award-winning October Films, premieres Monday, May 23, at 9 p.m. ET, on National Geographic Channel.
