The International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) Scientific Committee has released the first stage of its Consensus Report on Lower Limb Amputation. A symposium and summary of the report will be presented for the Consensus Committee at ISPO’s World Congress in Cape Town, South Africa, being held May 8-11. The symposium, “Consensus Report on Lower Limb Amputation Due to Vascular Disease: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Surgery and Rehabilitation,” will be presented by Karen Andrews, MD; Jan Geertzen, MD, PhD; and Saeed Zahedi, OBE, and will include time for comments and discussion.
Members may comment on the report via email to [email protected] by June 15. The consolidated comments will be used for further revision. The second stage Consensus Report will be available by June 30.
