Axial rotation units

Rick Stapleton

Dear List-serve,

I have a very active transfemoral amputee who is currently using a hydraulic knee, Durashock module, and a Kinterra hydraulic foot. He is an avid golfer but has worn out the Durashock that is only 20 months old. It has a lot of play in the sagittal and coronal planes and needs to be replaced. Fillauer does not repair these units. I need a more durable axial rotation unit that doesn’t way a ton. What are your experiences and preferences to axial rotation units for AKs?

Thanks in advance,

Rick Stapleton, CPO
