Good afternoon colleagues,
Researchers at the University of Washington are continuing to enroll people with bilateral, lower limb amputation to participate in our research study until August 1, 2014, for the further development of the Prosthetic Limb Users Survey of Mobility (PLUS-M). PLUS-M is a tool to help clinicians and researchers better understand the experience of using lower limb prostheses. This measure, originally designed for people with unilateral amputation, is now being expanded to bilateral prosthetic limb users. We are asking your help to spread the word about this study.
We are looking for people who are:
* 18 years or older
* able to read and understand English
* have amputations in both legs and use lower limb prostheses
* have no other (e.g., arm) amputations
Participation in this study involves completing an online or paper survey and is entirely voluntary. Eligible participants will be paid $25 upon completion of the survey.
Please encourage your patients with bilateral leg amputations to visit www.MobilitySurvey.org
Sincerely,
Brian Hafner, PhD, Principal Investigator
