How does stance control KAFO benefit over a floor reaction AFO?

Jamie Bell

From what I understand the majority of SCKAFO’s are for people with
weak quads rated no less than 3 to lock the knee during stance phase. What
is the major advantage of a SCKAFO compared to a floor reaction AFO? Would
the advantage be for people with genu recurvatum/varum/valgum?
If the floor reaction AFO and SCKAFO both stabilize the knee why use
one over the other?
