Silicone Liner replies

Thank you for the replies. I have responded to the replies after each one.

We are in a situation where we have clients with devices that work very well

for them and we no longer have access to the liners similar to the ones they

are currently using. The Alpha liner is the closest available option

though it has a fabric coating on the outside. We have concerns about this

eliminating the airtight seal as the liner is reflected over the proximal

trim line. We may experiment with a layer of silicone added to the outside

surface of the Alpha to get around the problem.

Sincerely,

Craig Smith

Dear Craig:

Have you tried people at TEC INTERFACE SYSTEMS?

Best regards

Dear Carlos:

TEC does not recommend reflecting the liners over the socket trim line.

Dear Craig

Contact Alps South Corp. @ 1-800-574-5426 I bielieve they will custom make

liners. Good luck.

Dear David and Brian:

Alps will no longer custom make liners as per our conversion with company

recently. We have concerns about the exterior covering of the Alpha liner

because we are using the air tight seal between the liner and the socket

(with the liner reflected over the proximal trim line) as part of our

suspension system. We may have to apply a silicone layer to the outside of

the Alpha in order to maintain a seal. They do appear to be the correct

thickness and length.

The Alpha Cushion Liner from Ohio Willow Wood fits this description.

Part number ALC-5036 would meet all of the above criteria.
