here it is again!

ORIGINAL QUESTION

Dear OANDP-L members:

Does anyone have information on the availability of the following type of

silicone insert:

-3mm thick

-no distal attachment mechanism

-at least 43cm long

-sized to fit distal circumference of 26cm at 5cm from the distal end

We have a number of clients using the Zeroshear insert, formerly distributed

by Silicone Systems South. These clients are knee disarticulation amputees

without a bulbous distal end. The liners extend up and over the proximal

trim line of the sockets and suspend with suction. The Zeroshear liners

were the only liners long enough to accomplish this suspension method.

Silicone Systems South is out of business, to our knowledge, and we are not

aware of any other manufacturers with long enough liners. Your help is

appreciated!

Thank you

Craig Smith C.P.(c)
