Hello. I am a physical therapist assistant student at Allegheny
University in Philadelphia. I am seeking professional information for a
school project. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
In an article entitled _Transfemoral Amputee Physiological
Requirements: Comparisons Between SACH Foot Walking and Flex-Foot Walking_
(JPO/Vol. 9, No. 4) it was proposed that the Flex-Foot outperformed the
traditional SACH foot at a variety of walking speeds. Clinically
speaking, is the Flex-Foot becoming more widely used in the prosthetic
community? Additionally, what types of individuals are considered ideal
candidates for this prosthesis?
