The Orthotics and Prosthetics Foundation for Education and Research awarded mentored pilot research grants to Kiley Armstrong, MS, MPO, CPO, and Emily Dinelli, MPO, CPO/L.
Armstrong earned the grant for Investigating Biases Among O&P Educators Toward People with Disabilities. Dinelli earned the grant for Social Determinants of Health and Health Outcomes for Black Individuals with Lower Limb Amputation.
The one-year awards of $5,000 are intended to help students in an O&P master’s or doctoral program, residents, or clinicians complete a research project with an experienced research mentor.
The mentored pilot grants are awarded in the spring and fall, and are based on the scientific merit of the proposed research project.
