OPAF associate Emma Durante attended USMS training and is now an adult learn to swim instructor, in addition to a First Swim instructor. The course provided information about the lesson progression to help adults learn to swim as well as helping them get acclimated to the water. The course provided a classroom portion followed by a session in the pool where attendees were able to practice skills learned with a partner. Durante will lead First Swim Clinics in Oregon, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Maryland in 2020.
