OPAF hosted First Clinic events on June 25 at River Point Golf Club in Albany, Georgia. First Swing and First Swim were the organization’s first since the beginning of the pandemic.
The golf event was held with OPAF’s clinical sponsor, Amputee Prosthetic Clinic in Albany. The National Amputee Golf Association participated, and the Georgia State Golf Association provided instructor David Windsor.
First Swim was hosted by Life Unlimbited, a nonprofit support group who hosts adaptive recreation days, with instructor Mabio Costa.
“Everything we have all collectively worked on since the start of COVID was worth it,” Travis Young, OPAF president told the board of directors. “The day was filled with smiles and excitement, and the energy around First Clinics was there all day long.”
