Boas Surgical, Allentown, Pennsylvania, has acquired Wyoming Valley Prosthetics and Orthotics, Swoyersville, Pennsylvania. Boas Surgical, which has locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, acquired Wyoming Valley P&O from owner Dante Molino, CPO/L, who said he had been searching for an opportunity to join a larger organization. “The more we discussed the idea of joining forces, the more we realized how similar our approach to patient care was,” Molino told The Morning Call newspaper.
Wyoming Valley Prosthetics, which has been in business for more than 30 years, will change its name to Boas Surgical, according to its website.
Boas Surgical opened in 1919 in Allentown and has grown to 38 employees, Jeff Fussner, Boas Surgical president and CEO, told the newspaper. The company acquired six employees from Wyoming Valley Prosthetic, he said.
