Super Bowl LVIII, the San Francisco 49ers against the Kansas City Chiefs, was held in Las Vegas this month, and we already know who won. Of those who took our poll on LinkedIn, 38 percent were cheering for the Chiefs, 33 percent wanted the 49ers to win, 16 percent said they were only tuning in to watch the commercials, and 13 percent they were there for Taylor Swift.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, half were cheering for the 49ers; one-third rooted for the Chiefs, and the rest tuned in for the commercials.
Since Valentine’s Day was less than two weeks ago, we couldn’t resist asking how our followers marked the day. Of those who responded on LinkedIn, 48 percent said it was just a Hallmark holiday, 29 percent said they plan to give or get flowers,14 percent said they’d give or get chocolate, with going out to dinner rounding out the total.
On X, two-thirds planned to give or get flowers and the other third think it’s just a Hallmark holiday.
Since it was National Pizza Day, which some people might consider a national holiday, last week we asked, “What’s your favorite pizza topping?”
Sixty-eight percent went for the meat-lover’s pizza, 23 percent said vegetarian, and 10 percent said just a cheese pizza, please. Apparently, our LinkedIn followers are pizza lovers: no one chose “not a pizza lover.” One follower commented that his favorite pizza was a supreme pizza. On X, it was a split between a meat-lover’s pizza and not a pizza lover.
One of our followers wrote, “I love your magazine, but am not sure how this relates.” We replied, and it bears repeating, that while our weekly polls often focus on O&P and business practices, occasionally we like to have a little fun with our readers and ask something related to a day of celebration or a pop culture moment.
