Like many team activities, working with a group of people can pose significant challenges, which can be attributed to differences in background, level of experience, and personality. In the February issue of The O&P EDGE, an article addresses introversion versus extroversion, terms that were coined by psychoanalyst Carl Jung, MD, in his book, Psychological Types. According to the article, Jung further defined personality types into four subcategories: thinking, feeling, sensation, and intuition. We asked our followers “Which personality trait best describes you?”
Of those who took our poll 56 percent said they were thinkers; 23 percent would describe themselves as intuitors; 16 percent said they were feelers; and six percent were ‘sensers.
Of those who responded to our poll question “How do you get your daily dose of news?” 47 percent use social media; 38 percent prefer a combination of outlets; 12 percent like the old-fashioned way of newspapers and television; and three percent said they get their daily news from podcasts. On X, formerly known as Twitter, it was unanimous, they use a combination of news outlets.
Last week many O&P professionals traveled to Chicago to attend the Academy’s 50th Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium, so we were curious about what attendees enjoyed about the event.
Our question, “What were some of the biggest takeaways from the event?” is up and full swing. So far, our voters say the chance to network with peers and colleagues was the best part. Tell us what you think. We’d love to hear from you.
