Proteor acquired Filament Innovations, a designer and manufacturer of 3D printing solutions for O&P. The acquisition expands Proteor’s Digital Solutions portfolio, which now includes scanning, rectification software, and 3D printing capabilities. Filament uses extrusion and high-speed printing of carbon-filled materials, and the company’s CPX-KyronMAX filament, a joint development effort, has passed internal standards to be classified as a definitive socket. When combined with its 3D printer, the socket can be printed in less than two hours.
“The Proteor acquisition will enable our technologies and materials to reach more people in more places around the world,” said Mike Gorski, CEO and founder of Filament Innovations. “In this industry, I have learned a lot from our customers on how this process needs to be streamlined for widespread digital adoption. Proteor… will soon allow us to connect all of our digital devices allowing for a streamlined digital workflow process, a critical process that is missing from the industry.”
