Suzhou Li, PhD, an Advanced Platform Technology (APT) Center student, received an outstanding poster award as part of Case Western Reserve University’s second annual School of Medicine Graduate and Medical Student Research Day, where graduate and medical students showcase their research accomplishments.
Li showcased his poster “A Sensory Neuroprosthesis (SNP) Enhances Recovery from Treadmill-Induced Stumbles for Individuals with Lower Limb Loss” in which he discussed his work investigating how restoring plantar sensation feedback using the SNP helps stumble recovery in individuals with lower-limb loss by enhancing their ability to stabilize after trips and potentially reducing fall risk.
The APT Center is a Department of Veterans Affairs Research Center within the Rehabilitation Research, Development, and Translation Broad Portfolio.
