WillowWood Global, Mount Sterling, Ohio, and DW Healthcare Partners (DWHP) have appointed an additional member to the WillowWood board of directors.
Elbert “Bert” Harman, former president and CEO at Ottobock North America, Austin, Texas, will serve as an independent member on the company’s board to facilitate strategic growth and apply his experience toward strategy, execution oversight, and key relationships.
“[Harman] is one of the strongest leaders I have come across within the O&P industry and has a proven track record. For a time, we served on the [American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association] board together, which was where I gained a good sense of his capabilities and his strong thought process,” said Mahesh Mansukhani, WillowWood CEO.
During his 42-year career, Harman served as president and CEO of Ottobock North America from 2000 through 2011. He retired from the medical device industry in 2016 after serving as president and CEO of Data Sciences International.
The WillowWood Global board is comprised of WillowWood’s executive leadership and members of DWHP, a private equity investment firm based in Toronto, Ontario, and Park City, Utah. The firm acquired a majority position in WillowWood in June 2019.
