The American Board of Certification for Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABC) donated 22 Windows Surface tablets to assist with the administration of Ukraine’s national O&P certification exams. The tablets will be used to support the logistics and delivery of Ukraine’s O&P credentialing exams, playing a key role in efforts to standardize and regulate the profession nationwide. The devices will assist with exam administration, scoring, data management, and other tasks.
The donation was formally presented on May 4 ahead of ABC’s spring clinical patient management exams in Tampa, Florida. Antonina Kumka, MEd, chief director of Protez Hub, traveled to attend the event and accepted the tablets on behalf of her organization. Protez Hub is a Ukrainian initiative that has been leading efforts to advance and professionalize the country’s O&P sector since 2014.
