Click Medical was named the 2025 winner of the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Exporting by Colorado Governor Jared Polis and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT).
“Click Medical is a Colorado success story, born from an idea on the ski slopes and now distributing adjustable prosthetic devices worldwide,” said Polis. “When companies like Click Medical export their goods and services, they contribute to a thriving Colorado economy that works for everyone. Congratulations to Click Medical on their success, improving patients’ lives while creating jobs in rural Colorado.” Click Medical is located in Steamboat Springs, a ski town that had a population of 13,500 in 2023.
When working as a prosthetist in 2009, Joe Mahon, Click Medical’s cofounder and chief clinical officer, noticed snowboarders adjusting their boots with the turn of a dial and wondered if the same system could be used to create adjustability in a prosthetic device. He went on to create RevoFit.
“Colorado is home to more than 5,000 exporting businesses, 4,800 of which are small- and medium-sized. Click Medical offers a great example of how these businesses advance new technologies and services while diversifying our economy statewide,” said Eve Lieberman, OEDIT executive director.
Click Medical has added four employees this year. To support a stable, long-term workforce in a rural area, the company focuses on providing training, internal growth opportunities, and competitive wages and benefits. The company credits these efforts with improving retention as well as quality production and on-time delivery.
To support Click Medical’s global expansion, OEDIT awarded the company State Trade Expansion Program grants in 2024 and 2025 to attend Arab Health, a premier international healthcare conference. Through these opportunities, the company has established new business relationships, expanded its distribution network, and increased awareness of its technology among international providers. Since Click Medical’s first attendance at Arab Health in 2024, the company’s global reach has grown from 39 countries to over 50 countries.
“Growing our company’s exports has been vital to our growth, now with 15 full-time employees managing worldwide sales, logistics, and support,” said Jen Howland, vice president of Global Brand & International Business.
