The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is requesting information about how healthcare providers are using artificial intelligence (AI) to improve outcomes and care delivery. CMS wants to advance its knowledge on relevant AI tools and products through information sharing to help inform its future AI actions.
Interested parties requested to share information include healthcare companies, healthcare providers and payers, start-ups, and other developers.
Beginning in October, CMS will host quarterly AI Demo Days and select organizations to give 15-minute demonstrations of their AI products and services to the agency. Demonstrations will be selected by a technical panel of CMS employees.
The action is in alignment with the Executive Order on the Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence (EO 14110).
The deadline for questions is September 27 and responses are due by October 7.
