Hanger Welcomes New Staff

Four new O&P professionals have joined Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics, the company announced recently.

Dennis Cyr, RTP, has been promoted to manager of Newington Market Fabrications, Newington, Connecticut. Cyr and his staff will work with the clinical practices to insure the production of high-quality orthotic and prosthetic devices, the company said. Cyr has been working in the prosthetic and orthotic industry for over 13 years and was certified as a prosthetic technician by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics & Prosthetics (ABC) in 1991. Before his promotion to manager, Cyr served as the Newington Market Fabrications lab supervisor.

J.D. Salazar, BOCP, RTP, has been named the practice manager for the Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics Patient Care Center in Nashua, New Hampshire. Most recently Salazar was employed by Alabama Orthotics & Prosthetics, Huntsville, Alabama. Salazar has been working in the prosthetic and orthotic industry for over 16 years. He is experienced in ShapeMaker® and TracerCAD".

Salazar received his bachelor of fine arts degree from Ontario College of Art and Design, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. As an undergraduate, he majored in design for persons with disabilities and computer graphic design.

Salazar is fluent in Spanish and will assist in translation needs for Hanger Patient Care Centers in the New England area.

Michael Domenicucci, CP, has been named the practice manager for the Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics Patient Care Center in Brookline, Massachusetts. Domenicucci has been working in the prosthetic and orthotic industry for over 15 years. Domenicucci was initially trained as a specialist in lower-extremity prosthetics for geriatric diabetic populations. For the past five years, he has been working with highly active K3 populations. Domenicucci received his ABC certification in 1989.He is a member and past president of the American Academy of Orthotists Prosthetists New England Chapter and is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Orthotics & Prosthetics.

Domenicucci earned his bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Lowell, Lowell, Massachusetts. As an undergraduate, he majored in drawing and painting and received a minor in industrial technology.

Eric Lydon joins the Brookline, Massachusetts, Patient Care Center as a staff prosthetist. Lydon is currently awaiting his ABC certification. Lydon has been working in the prosthetic industry for two years and is a graduate of the prosthetic program at the Newington Certificate Program, Newington, Connecticut. Lydon received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. As an undergraduate, he majored in exercise science and minored in psychology.
