Phil Stevens, CPO, has joined the staffof Specialized Prosthetic & Orthotic Technologies (SPOT), Salt Lake City, Utah, as the director of orthotics and clinical education. Stevens is a specialist in pediatric orthotics and cranial remolding, the company noted. He is experienced in lower-extremity orthotic management and upper-extremity and spinal orthotics, including tenodesis orthoses and scoliosis management. He also is experienced with the Otto Bock C-Leg® and Harmony prosthetic systems and myoelectric upper-extremity prosthetics. Stevens is a 2001 graduate of the University of Washington, Seattle, and received his masters degree in allied health education and administration from the University of Houston, Texas, in 2006. He is the winner of the 2006 Graduate Student Research Award by the University of Houston College of Education. Before joining SPOT, Stevens was with Dynamic Orthotics and Prosthetics LP, Houston, and worked with rehabilitation teams throughout the Texas Medical Center, including The Institute of Rehabilitative Research (TIRR), MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Texas Children's Hospital. Stevens and his wife Jennie are natives of Utah. They have three sons.
