On September 3, St. Petersburg College (SPC), Florida, dedicated
a new state-of-the-art, O&P clinical-education center at its
J.E. Hanger College of Orthotics and Prosthetics. The new Bankers
Insurance Group Building, named for the company that donated
$500,000 toward its $10-million construction, is a 27,000-sq.-ft.,
two-storey facility. Hanger Orthopedic Group, Bethesda, Maryland,
said the ceremony marked “the completion of a five-year mission to
establish Florida’s only college program in orthotics and
prosthetics.”
