SPS, Alpharetta, Georgia, announced that it has completed a 40-percent expansion of its Paso Robles, California, distribution center. The footprint of the facility has increased from approximately 28,000 square feet to more than 40,000 square feet. “We are now able to stock significantly greater numbers of the products our customers want and need every day,” said Eric Craig, SPS vice president of operations. “Our expansion will allow SPS’ West Coast customers to be served more efficiently while enabling us to ensure we align our stock with their buying patterns.”
The expansion of the Paso Robles warehouse follows upgrades at each of SPS’ additional warehouses in 2006 and the opening of the Pennsylvania Distribution Center in 2007. According to SPS, its cumulative North American facilities are now approximately 160,000 square feet.
