The Hanger Ivan R. Sabel Foundation, Austin, Texas, announced it has received a $25,000 donation from Grapes for Humanity Global Foundation (GFH Global), an international charitable foundation that has raised millions of dollars in support of landmine survivors and victims of conflict and disease around the world. GFH Global has made multiple donations to the Hanger Ivan R. Sabel Foundation throughout the past two years; this most recent donation will be used to continue the Foundation’s charitable work at its prosthetic clinic in Haiti.
“We are grateful for this generous donation by Grapes for Humanity Global Foundation as it will help support our mission of restoring mobility to Haitian amputees at the Klinik Hanger at the Hopital Albert Schweitzer in Deschapelles, Haiti,” said Ivan R. Sabel, chairman of the Hanger Ivan R. Sabel Foundation. “The funds will assist with the continued implementation of an education program with a focus on sustainability to teach local Haitians to become prosthetic practitioners and technicians for the provision of long-term prosthetic care in Haiti.”
