Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, headquartered in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, has hired Jacob Townsend, CPO, to join its Asheville, North Carolina, patient care facility as a managing practitioner.
Townsend comes to Ability from the University of North Carolina (UNC) Hospital, Chapel Hill, where he was a staff prosthetist/orthotist.
Townsend has a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He earned his bachelor of science degree in P&O from the University of Washington (UW), Seattle. He completed his prosthetic residency at Hanger Clinics, Olympia, Washington, and his orthotic residency at the UNC Hospital.
