Ottobock, Minneapolis, Minnesota, announced that Gerald Stark, MSEM, CPO, LPO, FAAOP, has been appointed to the newly created position of senior upper-limb specialist and as clinical leader of the company’s upper-limb professional and clinical services team. He will be responsible for strategizing with marketing and sales areas to develop education and training and to provide support to Ottobock customers.
Stark was previously the vice president of education and product development at Fillauer Companies, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, a master’s degree in science and engineering management from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and his prosthetics certificate from Northwestern University Prosthetics Orthotics Center (NUPOC), Chicago, Illinois. Stark serves as a contributing faculty member at NUPOC and as a director for the National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) and the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO).
