Orthocare Innovations’s magellan microprocessor foot-ankle system has been named one of the top 100 technologically significant products introduced into the marketplace over the past year by R&D Magazine. The R&D 100 Awards recognize excellence across a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, optics, high-energy physics, materials science, chemistry, and biotechnology, according to the magazine’s website. Winners are selected by an independent judging panel and the editors of R&D Magazine.
All winners will receive coverage on www.rdmag.com and in the September/October issue of R&D Magazine and will be recognized at the R&D 100 Awards Banquet on November 7 in Orlando, Florida.
In the past year, Orthocare’s magellan also received a gold-level 2013 Edison Award in the assistive device category and was named to the FierceMedicalDevices 2012 Fierce 15 list.
