Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics (CPO), headquartered in Peoria, Illinois, recently opened an O&P patient care clinic in Jammu, India. Operating under the name Total Orthotics & Prosthetics India, the company already has seven offices in the country, including locations in Delhi, Noida, and Hyderabad, on a pilot basis. According to an article on the PHARMABIZ.com website, CPO has plans to increase its presence in India to 20 clinics in the next year.
“The prosthetics and orthotics space in India is unorganized and the sector is in its early stages of growth,” Amit Bhanti, CPO, LPO, clinical director and global chief executive officer of CPO was quoted as saying. “The objective is to restore mobility and quality of life in those who have lost hope.”
