Pedorthic Footcare Association (PFA) President Jay Zaffater, CPed, announced that Brian Lagana, the organization’s executive director for more than 11 years, has resigned from the position. Lagana will be joining the American Trucking Association (ATA) as executive director of its Safety Management Council and Supply Chain Security & Logistics Council.
PFA’s volunteer leadership is currently working with its management company, Association Management Group (AMG), to determine PFA’s future staffing. In the interim, current staff, AMG management, and PFA’s board are handling the association’s management needs.
“Brian has been deeply loyal to this organization for many years,” wrote Zaffater in a letter to PFA members. “He feels that he is leaving PFA with a strong future, ready to take some important next steps…and that now is a good time to pursue his career advancement opportunities.”
