Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, headquartered in Exton, Pennsylvania, announced that Kathleen DeLawrence has been named its new chief operating officer (COO); she joins Ability after serving on its board of directors.
DeLawrence brings senior management, operational expertise, and business building skills to her position. She has more than 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience that includes strategic planning, operational management, supply chain, product launch, marketing and sales operations management, and merger integration across small, mid-size and large companies. She operates a strategic consulting practice that focuses on entrepreneurial businesses in the healthcare and life sciences market. Prior to beginning that venture, DeLawrence was the COO for Prism Pharmaceuticals, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, which was acquired in 2011 by Baxter International, headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois, for more than $300 million.
