The American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA) has issued a call for papers for its 98th annual National Assembly to be held October 7-10 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, San Antonio. Requested paper topics include orthotics, prosthetics, pedorthics, technical education, and business education. All abstracts will be considered for both podium and poster presentations. The submission deadline is March 10.
The review committee will grade each submission via a blind review process based on the paper’s relevance/level of interest in the topic, the quality of scientific content, and the quality of clinical content. Top scoring free papers submitted for orthotics, prosthetics, or pedorthics will also compete for the Thranhardt Award. The top papers for the business education program will be considered for the Sam E. Hamontree, CP(E) Business Education Award. Submissions are also being accepted for symposia, student posters, and a technical fabrication contest.
