The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) announced that its board of director’s 2015 executive committee has been elected. The following executive committee members have been elected to another one-year term in their respective roles:

Chair: James L. Hewlett, BOCO, CO
Vice Chair: R. Jeffrey Hedges, CDME
Treasurer: James Newberry Jr., BOCPO, BOCPD, CPO/L
Immediate Past Chair: John P. Kenney, MURP, BOCO
The following are new executive committee members:
Secretary: L. Bradley Watson, BOCP, BOCO, CPO/L
Member-at-Large: William J. Powers, MBA, LFACHE
Hewlett joined the BOC board in 2008, and served as member-at-large and two terms as vice chair prior to his current reappointment. He has volunteered with BOC as a subject matter expert and beyond his service on the board of directors, has volunteered in many capacities including the test development and review processes. He also has been a BOC representative on the O&P Alliance, and has hands-on experience with facility accreditation and Medicare compliance.
Transitioning off of the executive committee is Mark L. Parris, PharmD, RPh, COF, who served two terms as member-at-large and will remain on the BOC board as a director.
