Christopher Alexander, a former O&P practitioner and business owner, has been sentenced to more than six years in prison in connection to a July 2015 pipe bomb explosion at Victory Orthotics & Prosthetics’ Johnson City, Tennessee, patient care facility. Alexander had an ownership interest in Alexander Prosthetics & Orthotics, Kingsport, Tennessee, at the time of the bombing.
He pleaded guilty to the charges in June 2016. During a sentencing hearing in federal court in Greeneville, Tennessee, on March 13, Alexander was sentenced to 78 months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release. He must also pay restitution of $330,000. No one was injured in the explosion, which occurred after business hours.
