The O&P Alliance organizations are working together to draft a position paper on tariffs that can be used by O&P professionals to facilitate conversations with local, state, and federal legislators, and administration officials. The O&P Alliance is also pursuing opportunities to engage with these groups directly to minimize the potential impact of tariffs on O&P.
The American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA) said that tariffs will be a significant part of its upcoming Policy Forum, being held virtually in May, and is encouraging its members to ensure their voices are heard.
“Now, more than ever, we need to maximize the power of our combined voices,” AOPA said.
