Integrum, developer of the OPRA osseointegration (OI) system, announced that Ukraine’s Ministry of Health completed the preparatory phase of a proposal to introduce OI as part of the national treatment of people with amputations. The proposal is now being forwarded to the Cabinet of Ministers for a government decision.
In early 2026, the Ukrainian government adopted a roadmap to reform the country’s infrastructure for prosthetic treatment and established a working group to prepare the pilot project and gather opinions from the relevant consultation bodies.
The OPRA system has been used in approximately 100 OI procedures in Ukraine since 2023, and the company has established two Centers of Excellence there.
“The decision by Ukraine’s Ministry of Health to advance the proposal to make osseointegration part of Ukraine’s public healthcare toward a binding government decision is very positive,” said Martin Hillsten, CEO, Integrum.
