Union Orthotics & Prosthetics and De La Torre Orthotics & Prosthetics, both headquartered in Pittsburgh, have merged. The combined company will continue to operate under both the Union and De La Torre brands.
Ann Moss, president of Union, will serve as the president of the new combined company. Paul De La Torre, chairman, and Ed De La Torre, president, will work with the management team through the transition to a single organization.
“Our shared culture as successful family businesses, combined with our complementary capabilities in both orthotics and prosthetics, made this merger an ideal fit for serving our patients throughout western Pennsylvania,” Moss said. “We are excited to expand our footprint while getting to introduce ourselves to new patients throughout the region.”
“This merger of equals will ensure that the high level of patient care on which both companies have built their reputations will continue for many years to come,” Paul De La Torre said.
The combined company will have more than 135 employees across 20 offices and more than 20 counties in western Pennsylvania. In addition to its clinical offices, the company will operate multiple fabrication facilities across the region.
