Morris Glenn Gallo, a resident of Beacon, Florida, passed away April 9. He was 76.
He was born on February 16, 1948. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and physics at the University of South Florida, followed by the University of Washington where he earned a bachelor of science in O&P.
Gallo was president and owner of Advanced Rehabilitation Technologies, Florida, from September 1979 to September 2005. In later years, according to his LinkedIn page, Gallo worked as an adjunct professor at St. Petersburg College, School of Orthotics and Prosthetics, and as an expert witness and consultant for the Florida Attorney General’s Office. He also served as president of the Florida Association of Orthotists & Prosthetists, was the vice-chair of the Florida Board of Orthotists and Prosthetists, and a legislative author for many statutes and rules concerning O&P legislation in Florida.
He also worked as a humanitarian project manager for Sister Cities International in Florida, coordinating efforts and resources to establish and fund a free O&P clinic following the Amero, Colombia, mudslide.
